Southlands B&B

Lovely 2 night stay, warmly greeted by Jules with a cup of tea & lemon drizzle cake. Good location with an easy walk into the centre of the village. The rooms are immaculate & very comfortable. Breakfast was a feast, lots of choice & plentiful. Joules & Tony are great hosts so friendly & happy to talk with you.Thank you for your kind hospitality, hope to stay with you again.

Nothing to dislike.

This is the best hosted accommodation I have experienced in more than 50 years of extensive international travel. The thought that went into furnishings, fittings, comfort, thoughtfulness like afternoon tea with home-made lemon drizzle cake on arrival, the outstanding full English breakfast served in exquisite china dinnerware and little extras in the daily topped up room service sets this place apart. There is ample parking and just a short walk to the centre of Bourton on the Water.

The location was exceptional. A very short & pictureesque stroll into arguably the prettiest village in the Cotswolds. It was certainly our favourite. The presentation of the entire accommodation was immaculate. Tony & Jules have gone to a lot of trouble in making this place perfect for their guests. Jules was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit, going above and beyond to make our stay special. From the lovely welcome drink on arrival to the friendly chats and excellent local recommendations, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast service was outstanding, with great attention to detail and a genuine desire to ensure guests had a fantastic experience. Jules' warm hospitality made us feel right at home and added so much to our stay. A special mention also to Tony, who works quietly behind the scenes but plays a huge role in everything running smoothly. He cooks the amazing breakfasts, and is responsible for much of the property’s fitting out and renovation work, which has been done to a very high standard. Together, Jules and Tony create a wonderfully warm and welcoming place with a real personal touch. Thank you for making our visit so memorable—we would happily stay again!

The welcome we received from our hosts was very warm and friendly. They were also very helpful. The breakfasts were first class. The B&B is well placed for exploring the Cotswolds and Boughton on the Water. We will return to this B&B for sure and have no hesitation in recommending it to all.
