Eminence ella

Stunning place with only three units on top of a hill. Best breakfast with a view! Unfortunately it was fully booked so we could only stay for one night.

Fijn verblijf op 5 minuten van het centrum. Enorm vriendelijk personeel dat altijd voor je klaar staat. Erg lekker en uitgebreid ontbijt werd geserveerd en ook onze was is gratis gedaan.

The location is very central, with most restaurants and shops within a 5-minute walk. As in many places in Ella, you need to walk up a steep path to reach the property; however, compared to other accommodations, the view was not one of my favorites. The staff were very kind and helpful in planning the days and tours, and the Wi-Fi worked well.

The rooms are located side by side without any partition to separate balconies which made the stay less private. Although the bathroom seemed new and okay, it still felt like it required further renovation. If you’re looking for a full Sri Lankan experience, the breakfast may not be ideal, as it was more continental-style with waffles and omelette. It was fine with fruits and tea but I’d have preferred a local option. There were some other little issues as well like the bathroom door was broken and did not close properly, the mini table on the balcony wasn’t clean and there was an A/C but the remote wasn’t working. In general it was a fine stay with no major problems. But if I come to Ella I would not prefer to stay here again.

Este es mi 5to alojamiento en mi vuelta por Sri Lanka y en el que más cómoda he dormido. Nada de ruido, solo la naturaleza. El alojamiento estaba en el centro de Ella, tiene unas vistas preciosas, y se puede ver el tren pasar desde ahí. Aunque Booking no lo pone, el desayuno está incluido, y a nuestra entrada nos ofrecieron un te. El host y el staff son muy amables, nos recomendaron cosas que hacer y nos dieron tips para el siguiente destino. Como dato curioso pudimos ver varios monos a lo lejos y muchos pajaritos.

Aunque ya lo sabía por los comentarios anteriores, para llegar al alojamiento hay que subir una cuesta accesible para vehículos, pero después hay otra que si es muy pendiente que caminando son 5/10 minutos depende los descansos que tomes jaja.

Host Akku is very helpful! Breakfast is served directly to your room and is delicious! The best part is the view from the Room!

Un poco difícil acceso por la cuesta, pero no pesa por lo bonito un es.

Very friendly and helpful staff who can organise tuk tuks, taxis, scooters etc for you. Lovely big rooms with comfortable beds. Great peaceful location.

The water in our bathroom was yellow which was quite off putting. They sent us off with wet laundry - would have preferred they told us it wouldn’t be dry in time.

Eminence is a friendly BnB with only 3 rooms. Aku was very helpful with local tips and he organised his mother to do a cooking class with us. Bobodu looked after us well and took our bags down to the main road. Breakfast was fabulous too.

The bathroom missed some comforts from home like a bath mat, hand towel, hair dryer with right plug and toiletries.
