Jetwing Jungle Lodge, A Luxury Reserve

the property was beautiful, very secluded and private with a real authentic jungle feel. the staff really are the highlight of this property, on hand 24/7 for anything you need, always going above and beyond. there was also a lot of extras included in the price we didn’t know about - free drinks, discounted food, free minibar and lots of amenities. we did a full day safari with a naturalist, which, to be honest, was very expensive, but we felt it justified after getting the head naturalist of the resort who was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all of my millions of questions - he is a real asset to the resort and made our safari experience super special.

after paying a whopping $325 for a full day safari, the breakfast and lunch (which were very very poor - we literally could not eat it) was an additional $30 !!!!!!!! i don’t feel this was accurately explained and we would have skipped if it had been. there is a little cafe at the park, which was a fraction of the price for food that is actually edible. other than that, everything was spot on.

Such an incredible stay here. The safari was amazing and we saw leopards and elephants. The facilities are great and staff are very friendly.

The rooms are a bit dark

We loved the lodge with its own deck, a short stroll to the lovely beach, the staff were friendly and very attentive, nice elevated pool area. Chef was willing to anything special if wanted and always ensuring the food was to our liking.

The air conditioning in the lodge was difficult to get right for sleeping

Everything was exceptional - the staff, the property, the location, the food, the animal visitors. The food was the best we experienced in Sri Lanka by far and having the ability to visit the bigger sister hotel whenever we needed a change of scenery was perfect. We travelled with a 6mo baby and it was very suitable.

The service tax + gratuity that was added at the end of the stay was a surprise and quite a bit extra, but it didn’t ruin the experience. Just something we wish was made more obvious.

Amazing property and luxury experience at jungle lodge. Fantastic food and chef was keen to make sure our favourite foods were incorporated in the menus as well as providing a huge picnic breakfast on the morning of our safari. Staff were attentive and friendly keen to provide good hospitality in particular in the restaurant Wathsala who took time to teach us some Sinhalese and Imanka. All of the reception staff in particular our staff member who drove us safely to our accommodation were extremely helpful. The accommodation was spacious and stunning with complimentary items from the minibar and some laundry completed for free. The pool was to die for along with the complimentary cocktails and arrival nibbles provided for us . The beach front location was stunning and we looked forward to the regular visits from the resident elephant A fabulous stay and I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Nothing it was perfect

petit déjeuner délicieux et pantagruélique. hotel situé dans la nature, au milieu des singes, varans et elephants. parfait pour les amoureux de la nature. Piscine magnifique dominant le paysage, nous étions seuls a en profiter, la mer accessible en 2 min. Super safari organisé par l'hotel.

Nous avions le choix entre le petit restaurant de notre hotel intimiste ( 10 bungalows), et celui de l'hotel situé dans le meme parc et appartenant au meme groupe. Nous avons testé le buffet de ce dernier le premier soir, mais nous n'avons pas aimé l'ambiance grand resort, plein de touristes faisant la queue pour se servir a manger. nous avons préféré retourner au luxe de notre hotel paisible . très belle plage, mais trop dangereuse pour s'y baigner. Heureusement, la piscine magnifique compense
