Plumpton Barn

Ce vaste logement est une ferme rénovée. Il est donc très atypique et plein de charme. Nous avons adoré le cadre, la décoration, le calme. Il est également super bien équipé pour cuisiner. Le séjour ne dispose pas de fenêtre, deux chambres sont séparées par une porte à claire-voix. Le placement des interrupteurs n'est pas intuitif. Si vous êtes plus à l'aise dans des chaînes d' hôtel, cela peut être surprenant. Mais je vous conseille vivement l' endroit. Nous regrettons de n' y avoir passé qu' une seule nuit.

Dead spiders, mould on the ceilings, cobwebs, beds not comfortable, spell was musty.

Bedrooms are a good size.

Location was ideal for accessing the shuttle. Owner had lit a fire so the house was warm and greeted us on arrival. Easy drive to decent pub for food.

As mentioned in other reviews, the accommodation is a quirky old barn conversion which could be charming. Sadly, it's very run down and dated. The fridge hadn't been plugged in, tv did not work (not a deal breaker for us but if staying with young kids it might be). There were a lot of cobwebs and dust everywhere, it generally needed a good clean top to bottom. Over priced for the standard. I've stayed in worse but paid a lot less. If you need a convenient location for le shuttle it will do for a night, but I would avoid if looking for a weekend stay somewhere.

No proper handover or contact with hosts.Needs an instruction sheet on how to work appliances like hot water or log burner { no matches provided }. Needs windows that open as no ventilation apart from front door downstairs and one landing window.Needs extra pillows. Most disturbing was a lack of fire escapes or display of fire regulations, especially as it's a barn with wooden beams and a log burner.I will be looking into this further and taking health and safety advice.

Disappointed the check in time is not until 1600. Being an old building heating it is a challenge, but the host lit the fire and the radiators got hot quickly. Toilet door was very hard to close (in need of planning) and the flush very weak.

Quirky place to stay, fantastic for family and location is amazing.
