Plumpton Barn

Staff so helpful. Had to book last minute, as let down by Airbnb, as not much notice given. To be fair we wish we had booked to stay here for the week rather than continue to Fig Tree House in Canterbury. The barn was more than adequate. Only gripe was milk had gone off in fridge.

In the middle of some fields, nice and quiet. The bedrooms where spacious

Downstairs, there's just one small window in the kitchen/dining room. There are no windows in the living room.

Smelly Dirty Very worn/old furniture Kitchen was poorly stocked and dated No plugs for sinks TV not working Curtains did not block light - blinds broken Cigarette ends by door Owners dog kept coming in the house Window didn't close Adjoining bedroom door did not shut All in all very uncared for dated, dirty property that was significantly overpriced.

It was spacious, quaint, and quiet. Very kid friendly :) I likely would have enjoyed a longer visit.

Lack of air flow was noticeable - the ground floor was a bit musty. Could benefit from fans. Beds were firmer than I would have liked, but my hubby liked it.

The location and number of bedrooms was perfect for our needs and as a bonus the setting was lovely. I liked the quirkiness of the property.

It was difficult getting hot water in the wash basins for a wash and we would have liked a plug in the basin (but the hot water for the shower was great).
