"Don't visit them in winter as heating is not great. Otherwise, good to stay."

Breakfast was very good. Home-baked bread was fantastic.

It was freezing in Rotorua and the heating control was in the owner's control who lives upstairs and he turned off all the heaters at midnight. We had 81 years old my aunt with us and she couldn't sleep the whole night.

Clean. Fresh bread was lovely touch for breakfast.

Smoke alarm was continuously going off for the entire evening. Very distressing and disruptive. Hosts were out and neither phone contact was answered. My husband and I checked their property to ensure it was not on fire. Hosts finally arrived and discovered it was a faulty alarm. Their attitude to our inconvenience was disappointing. We were interested in a return visit in future and queried any negotiation on discount to compensate. They apologised, but were clear that this was just ‘Murphy’s Law’ and they had been trying to be respectful to their hosts by turning phones off. This meant we were completely disrespected. Ordinary stays would be fine, but be aware that if something goes wrong, you’re unlikely to be respectfully dealt with. Extremely disappointing.

Was very neat little apartment. Compact but comfortable and very homely. The fresh cooked bread was delicious. They made every effort to make you feel comfortable. Totally recommend.

Beds were extremely comfortable, and hosts were very helpful and friendly. Excellent location; barely 5 minutes to the shops and hot pools. A great place for a few nights' stay.

Bedrooms were quite small - we had to leave our luggage in the main living area. It would also be good to have lamps in the bedrooms.
