La Ripa Camere Vernazza - The Spinnaker Suite

Loved the suite, especially the patio.

This is a property that teaches you that you that less is more! It’s a tiny residence but almost everything is catered for. Clean. Comfortable. Great location ( if you’re into walking as we are). The terrace to relax on is fabulous, sitting there watching the sea and the birds on sun filled evenings was a delight.

Nowhere to unpack properly or stow suitcases. Maybe the bed could be exchanged for one with storage underneath. Be careful of tap in small kitchen sink as it gets extremely hot very quickly. But really we loved our stay here.

La chambres est petite mais propre et avec le nécessaire pour passer une bonne nuit. La salle de bain est spacieuse et super bien entretenue ! La climatisation aide pour passer une nuit au frais. Le wifi fonctionne normalement. et on peut entendre les vagues si on ouvre les fenêtres, c'est super appréciable ! Dans l'espace cuisine, une machine à café avec de VRAIES capsules Nespresso, super appréciable pour le café du matin ! La terrasse est super appréciable et permet de se sentir isolé du monde et de se faire bercer par le bruit des vagues !

Le coin cuisine peut être légèrement amélioré, quelques couverts et assiettes supplémentaires seraient apprécié ainsi qu'une éponge et liquide vaisselle pour pouvoir nettoyer ses tasses d'un jour sur l'autre.

The view from the balcony was delightful and was definitely a highlight of our stay. The kitchen sink was great for getting some hand laundry done. We also like that our room wasn’t any closer to the railway line as there are frequent trains. Great wifi. The owners of the property also run a small seafood restaurant. We ate dinner there twice and had takeaway twice. Some of the best food (pasta, seafood, tuna tartare) we have eaten in Italy…with the exception of the Panna cotta which was very disappointing.

One of the shadesails on the balcony was falling apart so could not be used. We asked for it to be repaired. It was not attended to in the 5 nights we were there. The outdoor furniture was in need of cleaning and again we asked for this to be done. It was not. Our room did not get serviced for our last night and when I asked why I was informed that we had the do not disturbed sign out. This was just not true. Whilst steps are part of the character of Vernazza, be mindful that you have walk up 90 steps to get to and from the accommodation. With luggage in tow it’s quite a feat. The room is very small, luggage needs to be stored under the bed. Whilst not a priority for us, if you want to watch television viewing is very awkward due to where it is attached on the wall.

This beautiful suite is perched up on the cliff overlooking the sea - the view from the balcony is unparalleled and provides an amazing private spot to relax - particularly important during the afternoon heat. The room is small but perfectly proportioned and has everything you need - very comfy bed, beautiful rain shower and a good fridge (perfect for chilling a drink to enjoy in the evening on the balcony). Multiple restaurants are in easy walking distance (5-10 minutes) as is the harbour for swimming. Would thoroughly recommend!

The room is well located. Just off the main street yet quiet and secluded. The layout is very well thought out for the size. Nespresso was appreciated. Hosts gave us great advice on hiking and restaurants. Super clean and well organized. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. It’s not clear from the description but you just go out your door down 5 steps and open the door to the terrace. Simple.

It is 90 steps up from the street which after hiking 500+ meters of vertical wasn’t much but still…

Cappuccino Cereal & milk Location was excellent

Too many people smoking

No breakfast. Balcony was the reason I chose this accommodation.

Ants on kitchen. No spray although I told house cleaner. No washing detergent, cloths or spray to clean in the kitchen.
