La Ripa Camere Vernazza - The Spinnaker Suite

We loved our stay at the Spinnaker Suite and would most definitely stay there again. It is not for everyone however. It is very small; you have to squeeze out of the way for the other person to move around. But the access to the veranda with the amazing views makes it all worth it! Virginia and Frederico are instantly accessible which is a good thing as our hot water heater was out, and Frederico came over within ten minutes to get it working. And they did comp us for our troubles in addition to being very apologetic. They really wanted us to totally enjoy our stay. And we did. Thank you.

Access to the veranda is from outside the apartment, but it is private, and very special.

From the beginning, our host was so accommodating! Even carried my bags up the stairs! Gave very clear specific spots of interests and dining to enjoy on a map. Don't even get me started on our private breathtaking view! The reason I even booked. Yes, it's a few steps down from our room, but who cares? It was still beautiful and worth it! The sounds of the waves down below eased me into a restful sleep. Highly recommend. Vernazza is a very special place in the Cinque Terre worth visiting. We'll be back!

Be ready for a workout while visiting the Cinque Terre. Lots of stairs! I thought I was pretty fit, but holy cow, those stairs are no joke! Wear safe, comfortable shoes! Oh, and I wish we had sugar in our room for our espresso's in the morning. Had to hike down to a café and back up to get some cappuccinos to enjoy on our beautiful terrace. Again, it's worth it! So, really, I have no complaints.

Incredible location. Daily maintenance of our room. Very responsive. Loved that they met us from the train. Terrific private balcony.

Good stuff

Most amazing terrace space, private with great views. AC in the room was fabulous. The room was clean and the welcome was great. It was nice to have coffee on the terrace in the early morning to watch the sunrise, the provided coffee machine and pod was great.

The room was a bit too small for two people, with literally not a single square meter to put a suitcase down. The shower did not drain so flooded the bathroom.

Federico and Virginia have created a beautiful place to call your home while in Vernazza. Like everything in Cinque Terre, it comes with stairs, but you are well rewarded with the terrace views and privacy while still being 3 minutes from the main square. The AC is a much needed reprieve from the heat if traveling in the summer and the hosts are welcoming and helpful for any questions you may have!

Nothing, everything was great!

Staff was very nice, met us at the train station and assisted with luggage getting to the room. The room was very small but nicely appointed.

The room was extremely small so that when we unpacked our luggage we couldn't even walk around it on the floor. The biggest detriment is getting to the room. There were 90 steps from the main street up to the room which were very difficult to maneuver with luggage. Thankfully there were many helpful people along the way.
