A lovely homestay in a peaceful environment. Kaila and her family are so welcoming and she cooks the most delicious food! A clean and comfortable room and great location. We would return

We had such a lovely stay at Kailasam! Munroe Island is very quiet and non-touristy which we loved. The room was comfortable and very clean. Akhil helped us with trains and organising a boat trip which the highlight for us! Kala’s cooking was fantastic and we ate breakfast and dinner there both days. We also enjoyed sitting out on the veranda in the garden. We really recommend this stay for a quiet and relaxing Keralan experience!

Kailasam homestay was the perfect escape into Munroe Island's paradise. The hosts food was absolutely exceptional, and she and her son went above and beyond helping us with whatever we needed. We've recommended this place to everyone we've spoken to about Munroe Island.

Picking at straws... AC/a ceiling fan would have been a nice option as the room did get quite hot, although there were two standing fans to compensate. Plus cotton sheets rather than synthetic sheets on the bed would have also helped with the rooms heat. Don't let that deter as otherwise, it was absolutely perfect :)

We loved Munroe Island and this homestay: like the island itself its simple but that is its beauty. Our host Kala was super attentive and a great cook. Thank you for having us!! Would love to be back one day!!

Kala and her Akhil were very nice, welcoming and accommodating. The home cooked was very good and tasty. The room was big, the bed was confortable and they also lend us some bikes and scooters to ride around the island. They also arranged a boat tour and taxis ! Perfect stay in this nice family, they made sure we felt at home.

Some power outlets were not working ! But it was okay :)
