The homeliness, authentic Kerala experience. The food, people, location everything was top notch. The rooms were very clean and the hosts were so warm and hospitable. Akhil himself took us around for lunch places on our first day and helped us get acquainted with experiences. Had an amazing sunrise canoe ride on his suggestion.

5 years after my last visit, the family has grown, Akhil has now a wonderful wife and baby son, the Homestay as well with 2 additionnal rooms, and still the same kindness, still the same attention and care, the same hospitality, the same peace and quiet, and the same beautiful healthy food cooked with love by Kala. Much gratitude and appreciation

The communication with Akhil was really good before we arrived and the family managed to make our stay and travels very comfortable. They sent us the touristic attractions of the area and took very good care of us. The room was big, modern and clean. The food prepared by Kala, Akhil’s mom, was homemade and delicious.

Akhil and his family is so kind, helpful and caring. They help you arrange boat/kayak tours and makes sure you are safe and comfortable the entire time, they made my stay in the island truly memorable. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is homemade from the heart - I loved it.

The host family is so helpful. The food is unbelievable, and the rooms are the best I have stayed in at this price range. Munroe has been the highlight of the trip so far. Only wish I had stayed longer. If you are going to Munroe, stay here you won't be disappointed.
