A truly wonderful stay at Kailasam Homestay! The delicious home-cooked food, the soothing sounds of birds, and the peaceful early morning walks made it a perfect retreat. Kala and her family’s warmth and hospitality made it even more special. Lots of love to them!

We had the most wonderful stay at Kailasam Homestay, hosted by the lovely family of Kala, Akhil, Roshni, and their adorable son Aayansh. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The location is perfect—peaceful, scenic, and truly allows you to unwind. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. But what made our stay truly special was the warmth and hospitality of our hosts. Kala's cooking was exceptional—every meal was a delight, full of authentic Kerala flavors. Beyond just providing a great stay, they went above and beyond for us. When I had a minor flu, they kindly took me to the hospital, which I truly appreciated. They also arranged all our activities seamlessly and ensured our pick-up and drop-off from the nearest station were taken care of. All in all, this was the best time we had in Kerala, and we can't recommend this homestay enough. If you're looking for a place that offers comfort, great food, and amazing hosts, this is the one! We’ll definitely be back!!

Kailasam Home Stay is such a peaceful and calm place with a wonderful host family. Set on a quiet road with beautiful greenery surrounding it felt like a place you could really relax and enjoy. I had a lovely and spacious room and a really comfortable bed. It was cool enough with a fan which I prefer. The breakfasts and dinner were always super delicious and cooked with love. I looked forward to seeing what treats would be served. I felt I could really relax there. Akhil and his family were so welcoming, helpful and gave great advice. It was lovely to be in their company. I would 100% recommend this as a place to stay and would love to return when I’m back in India. This has definitely been a highlight for me in my travels and I’m grateful to have found the Homestay. Thank you Akhil and family for making me feel so welcome and at home. I’m looking forward to seeing your Home Stay starting cooking classes in the future with your mother who is a wonderful cook…sign me up! 🤗

The family are very invested in making sure guests are comfortable and well looked after. They are very helpful with information. The room and bathroom Is spacious and clean.

There were some communication issues, and small hiccups, such as no top sheet/blanket provided (I was very cold overnight), breakfast served a bit late on first day and strange coffee, miscommunication about extending stay. They don't have bikes for hire, and the location is a bit awkward. They organised a pleasant canoe ride but with a driver who didn't speak a word of English. I ordered a home cooked dinner which was tasty but so much food, and I felt very guilty for not eating. No matter how much I said it was just quantity, not taste, they seemed quite upset.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kailasam Homestay, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and hospitality. The homestay offers a truly cozy, home-like atmosphere, making it feel like a peaceful retreat. The highlight of the stay was the food—each meal was not just tasty but a real treat for the taste buds! Kala, the host, was incredibly kind and went the extra mile by teaching us how to prepare some of the delicious dishes. We had so much fun cooking together and learning new techniques that we can now recreate at home. Additionally, Kailasam Homestay arranged several activities for us, including boating, cycling, and kayaking. The scenic surroundings made these experiences even more memorable, and it was a great way to explore the area and unwind. All in all, Kailasam Homestay offers the perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and exceptional food. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable stay!

Akhil and his family are very kind and warm. They are very attentive and make your stay incredibly easy. House is clean and comfortable, food is delicious. Could not recommend it more.

The host was so helpful in every way. He even picked me and a friend up from the train station. He sent me a list of things to do and where to eat as well. And offered a selection of cooked food as well.

A very lovely homestay which I would recommend to anybody looking for a quiet, peaceful place to unwind. The rooms were really nice and the family is so kind and helpful. It feels like a home away from home, very relaxing. The location is great and we enjoyed going for morning and evening strolls. I would definitely stay here again.
