Yurtshire Eavestone Lake - Birch Yurt

I love everything about this place. It was a surprise for my partner. On her birthday it was everything she needed after a hard year of battling and beating the big C.

Before the arrival on Friday, the staff was brilliant. I didnt received my booking details on Friday. Which I was told I would. when I arrived nobody was around, I rang and rang from 5 o'clock. I used both walky talkys on every channel. Still nothing. I had to ask other people in the lodges for any information on contact details. Which was the number I had. It was almost 8 o'clock by the time I got in to my lodge and that was only because I checked every lodge and found one with balloons in that I requested. Which im thankful for. I just feel like I lost my friday stay by the time we got sorted and settled I didnt see any one from the lodge until Sunday when I left.

Stunning location and absolutely loved the setup of the Yurt with the outdoor bathroom, hot tub bag, pizza oven, barbecue, outside sitting area…. The lake is beautiful and the sauna has a magnificent view!

The only downside was there was no accessible water within the yurt and the only reason i wasn’t happy about that was because it was raining all day so it was a shame that we had to leave our cozy yurt in order to fill the kettle!

Very comfortable, nice and cozy, great hot tub, cute lighting.

Steep hill on the way down to the yurt, no staff around or number to call or bell to ring on arrival (had to phone emergency number and leave a message but they did come back to us quickly though), park in the car park then carry everything we needed (suitcases, food, drinks etc) down the steep hill to the yurt.

It was a very nice and private place, very relaxing and quiet. Everything was new and beautiful for us. We will definitely do it again

The only thing that was unpleasant was the smell of alcohol all night

Location is beautiful. Concept great. Views and placing of yurts lovely.

Poor kitchen facility. Not really self catering ready at all. Kitchen items random and dirty. No kettle. No wash station for kitchen items. Lack of info’ on how everything worked. Lack of attention to detail.
