Banbury Wroxton House Hotel

Made very welcome, and helpful, would definitely stay again if in the area,

Although we couldn't fault the breakfasts, we only like very basic menues in the evenings ,

Breakfast delicious and location good.

Nothing all fine and friendly staff.

Very comfortable beds, great sized rooms, friendly staff.

No hot water in the shower in the morning so had to be given a key to another room to shower. We had a small balcony and the decking was rotten I almost put my foot through it. Dangerous.

Dog friendly. Very efficient, polite & helpful staff. Large room. Comfortable and large bed. Windows that open. Lovely hot bath.

The outside bar seating was outside our window, and the language wasn't appropriate. If you have children, ask for a quiet room.

We came to the hotel for a wedding. Our room whilst big was reached by a steep staircase which somebody less able would struggle with. There were some maintenance issues in the room which made it appear tired.

After the wedding the family had arranged for everyone to have breakfast together the following morning, however we arrived at the appropriate time and there was no food left, we asked for some more and were told that we’d have to wait till it was cooked! We also had to ask for cups for coffee and found the staff quite rude. During the wedding reception itself we had taken shelter from pouring rain in the reception room while photos were being taken but the wedding planner told us we had to leave by the patio doors and go back in through the front door meaning we were all soaked! I think she needed to remember we were guests who should have been treated with respect!

The room in the cottage was lovely, thr bathroom too. Very comfortable and clean. The garden area was nice for a drink in the good weather. Staff were friendly.

The buffet breakfast was not good on the first day Sunday. Rubbery hash browns, inedible and everything else was enemic and luke warm. Toast took over 20 minutes to come out and coffee ran out. But the breakfast Monday morning was cooked to order and much nicer should do this everytime.

The room was fine for the money, not great but okay

some of the staff's attitude. it also does not cater for the amount of people that stay there, We come down for breakfast and i had to look for someone to guide us, she was quite nice and explained they had a weeding and guests having breakfast so may be a delay. Then we see another young lady who said she was in charge untill the manager come in and told us we could no have our breakfast as the are looking after the weeding and they are a priority. I told them to refund our breakfast money then, she went off with the hump. 30 min's later a polite young lady approached us and apologised and refund us £16 each for the breakfast.

The choice for breakfast was excellent on the first morning but on the second it was only buffet. However because we were early the did poach eggs for us
