Staff were friendly

If you are wanting to chill or get to bed early I would stay somewhere else. The pub is one of those last man standing pubs. The noise & the music is pumping till the wee hours.

The bed was comfortable and the towels were clean and soft and the TV worked. Why provide a kettle and bedside lamp with nowhere to plug it in? The electrics seemed very dodgy. The toilet moved when you sat on it and the shower only had two settings boiling hot or freezing cold

The kitchen was closed for refurbishment so breakfasted at nearby Witherspoon. Bathroom door jammed open and curtains didn't work properly. Beds creaky and soft. No real ale available in bar.

Wi-Fi signal very poor. There was nowhere to plug in a kettle. After reporting this problem I was given an extension lead that had to be connected to a socket in another room. Cups were not washed after first night’s stay. No teaspoon provided, had to ask for a teaspoon. Bathroom door lock was broken. Light over bathroom mirror did not work. There was no workable bedside light which was not resolved after staying two nights. See photo of room with no bedside light or socket to plug in a light. Central heating did not work and bathroom radiator did not work. Hotel did not provide breakfast as offered on their website for £12. Staff said they had no chef. We had to leave the hotel to have breakfast.

The reception member of staff was very helpful and the room itself was okay-but the hotel in general was very run down and in dire need of an upgrade

The bedrooms were clean, with towels, tv wifi. The hotel is very central and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby.

The hotel shut up at 9.50p.m. As we had been out for supper another resident had to let us in the back door. The bar was rough but not threatening.

There was no breakfast. Chef had done a runner. Pub was very noisy with lots of swearing.

Most everything. The room was clean and fresh.

Its nothing like discrbed it felt unsafe and unwelcoming no food , the room looked like a knocking shop we did not stay I expect a full refund
