Pebble Beach

Restaurant, food, drink and staff are superb. Event night was brilliant. Been before and will go again.

Bedroon poor, unloved and tatty in some places. In need of some tlc and attention. Over priced for the standard it was. Put us off staying next time.

Stayed for 1 night business, ashame the resteraunt wasn't open but it is out of season so understand. Didn't have to go far to find food

Sea front location

Our room lack of view

Nice room, comfy bed, bath with plenty of hot water. Great clifftop location.

Check-in was convoluted due to glitches between this platform and the host, and it being a quiet night when the restaurant is not open, so that's understandable. Communication was (eventually) by phone to give me a keybox code. Once in, however, my room hadn't been cleaned/turned over (unmade bed, unflushed toilet, etc). The host was apologetic, and gave me a different room. This was fine, nicely made-up, but it did have a couple of cleaning oversights (no one had looked under the bed for a while). Also, it faced the road and did not have a view, unfortunately, whereas the room I should've had has a nice view along the coast. There is no breakfast or restaurant on a Mon or Tue, which is entirely understandable, but it does make the rooms feel a little isolated. The little corner shop is very basic, and the nice cafe a few doors down doesn't do sandwiches or hot meals, only cakes. So, alas, one has to come prepared here. I ended up having cornflakes out of a cup in my room! This little bit of Barton seafront is a bit down-at-heel, and it only livens up in the evenings and in the warmer months. I live locally and fancied trying this place out, Sadly not a lovely experience all round. Anyway, I've satisfied my curiosity.
