Staff and food excellent. Accommodation very clean and comfortable.

Good location, friendly helpful staff, Beth was excellent. Food at dinner exceptionally good, a special New Years Eve dinner. Congrats to the Chief Chef! Lovely cooked breakfast, served by very nice and friendly waitress, Issy, thank you.

Our room! Unfortunately, the noise from the kitchen extractor fans outside our window were annoyingly loud. Also, the room next door had air con on until the early hours of the morning and could be heard through the paper thin walls along with them talking Although the room was clean, with good quality bedding and sheets, the bin had not been emptied from the previous guests! No rubber slip mat provided for the shower over the bath, H&S risk? No switch present to be able to turn on the extractor fan? We asked if this could be found, but staff were unable to locate one. Door wouldn’t close unless it was locked with the key. These are all constructive criticisms, meant for the benefit of future guests… Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay but a revamp of the room wouldn’t go amiss, in our opinion.

The window covered up and no view! Very claustrophobic and a worry if there was a fire! The shower above bath on a sloping wall had to sit in bath to shower!coffee machine was broken!

Gorgeous place. Love the decor and vibe in the restaurant and would love to return. The food is very good, although a little pricey. The staff are lovely and really friendly. The location is wonderful next to the coast. The room was ok, although it was obvious that money needs to be spent on maintenance to bring the accommodation to the standard expected at the prices charged.

Being Christmas Eve, the hotel decided they didn't want to cook us breakfast the following morning, so they pledged to place a buffet breakfast in the room fridge. When they arrived, the plate wouldn't fit in the fridge, so they took it away again, not reappearing until much later when we asked for it. When we came to eat it, we found it rather odd, although some of the items were good quality. They did not provide what they had pledged to give us, so we complained later on and were awarded a £7 refund. Rather disappointing for a Christmas morning breakfast, and we had to go and ask for coffee as well. Not good enough, so wouldn't stay again at that time of year at that price. Otherwise, we would return.

I asked for a herbal tea from restaurant in evening and they did provide me one which was a bonus

Noise level was terrible from external fan just outside the window We could hear everything from the guests in next room - not a nice experience The entrance was horrible - back door entrance was a dirty fire exit The pictures on the website make the rooms look really nice but its all cosmetic, the hallway, stairs and entrance to the rooms is not nice. The pictures show White Company goods in the rooms, we had no luxury items. The bed was too singles which can sometimes work but the ridge in the middle was too uncomfortable.

Absolutely beautiful place ,, lovely food , very polite and friendly staff . The food was exceptional. Lovely atmosphere perfect getaway. So glad we found this little gem .
