The only likeable thing was the friendly, one-eyed black cat - thats it.

Walking in to this place reminded me of the beginning of a horror movie... we used the public toilets across the road because the bathrooms were pitch-black, and no light switch in sight. The tap was also running with no way of turning it off - adding to the horror-esque vibe. I dont even know what to say here, its so bad its almost funny. Had it been $45... then yeah, ok, but $129. Hell. No.

It was a nice country pub. We had to share the bathroom but that’s what we expected. It is original condition maybe 1970s and could use some contemporary sprucing up. It had a communal lounge downstairs for those interested in TV. And you could cook there.

The only problem was our queen bed that sagged in the middle, so I kept waking up to roll out. No air conditioner to cool down.

Fine if you need an overnight stop. Large rooms, clean sheets and towels, but dont expect too much more. Walking distance to Fairlie Bakehouse.
