Convenience to Mount Hotham Environment is good Suitable for relax and recharge Acceptable breakfast

Book family room of 4 but give double decker room Heater not function especially bathroom, very cold

Very comfortable motel-style accommodation in a beautiful setting. The room heating was great for a mid-winter trip. The bathroom was very clean. The check-in and check-out process was very easy and well-communicated beforehand.

The “continental breakfast” was very basic. Wholemeal toast, cheap conserves and a few varieties of cereal. There was a large noisy group also staying at the Retreat. So not much left after they had swarmed through the kitchen.

Location was amazing for our day trips up Mt Hotham snow boarding with all our kids. Easy walk to hotel of a night for a lovely dinner. Excellent having the coffee van open early each morning out the front to get our coffees and hot chocolates Fantastic friendly staff and local puppies

Probably only downfall is the heating. A small wall heater in the lounge was not enough to heat the room and the fireplace obviously was a little slow to get things heated up when got back from the snow late or early mornings. Also all our wood was wet and some fire lighters would have been a bonus. Rooms were also pretty cold but blankets were ok once in bed.
