The Saddle Inn

Staff were incredibly friendly. Such a warm welcome, felt at ease as soon as I walked through the door. I asked for recommendations as to where to go and what to see in the city and they more than happy to help. Such a pleasure. Was a lovely stay.

There was nothing that I didn’t like. Was a pleasure to be there.

Nice Pub and great price, not far from York center really.

Was very cold

Freezing cold, no hot water, people in the next room screaming at each other from 1am,still at it when we gave up on sleep and left at 7am (appreciate the screaming couple are not the fault of the pub)

The cheap prices in the bar

There was black mould and a leaky toilet in the bathroom. Hot water was hit and miss. Fire alarm went off the first 2 mornings we were there about 5am,for no reason. Complained to bar staff in evening, and it didn't happen again. This place is cheap compared to other hotels in york,but you still expect to have a bathroom with no mould and hot water. Whole place needs some TLC

Location was in a good place not too far to walk to the city centre,cheap booze

Bed wasn't the comfiest,room was cold and shower didn't heat up.for the price tho was ample enough didn't expect the hilton.bar staff were friendly and chatty as were the locals
