Good bus route . Room nice and warm.

Windows were black with condensation but were covered with secondary glazing, so it made it more bearable. There was a leak in the bathroom by the toilet, and we had to keep wiping it up so as to not get wet feet. There was only one bedside cabinet, so had to put drinks on the floor on the one side.

The location was great for getting into York and free parking was a bonus.

The bed was very squeaky, the carpet frayed and ripped up around the bathroom door, the cistern was cracked and the toilet flushed itself randomly throughout the night. The TV worked intermittently with very little signal. The self closing door had no handle but didn't actually close without fiddling with it. We were given no information on how to check out and noone around at check out time. Nowhere to leave the key so had to leave voicemail with establishment and prop bedroom door open and leave keys in the room.

Great young man behind the bar who checked me in , location is great with good transport links to city

Funny smell in bathroom , very cold , despite asking for the heating on the radiator was at best tepid , no hairdryer ,

handy location for bus into York city (& retail park if that's your thing) pleasant room, basic facilities . includes onsite parking & also on street parking

could do with bedside lamps, somewhere to hang & dry towels & somewhere to place bags ( small console/coffee table under window?)
