The room was small but well decorated Clean and pretty . The bathroom was very good. The restaurant was lovely and the food and the waiting staff were excellent

The reason I haven’t put and excellent was that the room overlooked the car park and the main road which is very busy and noisy. We had to have the window open as it was so hot and the noise from the road was intrusive . The room itself was very hot but we are aware this was beyond the staff to order the weather!

Perfect for what we needed, clean tidy, very comfy beds.

I would recommend printing your booking information before arrival, there is little or no phone service outside the property, we did have trouble getting in as we could not retrieve the Key Codes to gain access to the rooms. The pub was shut, but someone did take our call and helped us out. The pub is directly on a busy road so naturally the morning traffic was very noisy. Also note they did not provide breakfast options due to staffing. We went to The Chocolate Frog just down the road, which was absolutely excellent.

Morris dancing in the carpark was certainly a nice addition

The staff were excellent. Polite and helpful despite having a busy day with a wake for one of the villagers, a former colleague of mine, after his memorial service.

Breakfast was not available due to difficulties obtaining staff. At no time prior to my arrival was this communicated to me.

Very easy in every respect. No contact with staff so unable to comment on that. Just one observation; there was no easy chair in the room. An upright chair and small table to work at were all the furniture apart from bed and bedside tables. Bathroom was excellent. Bed was excellent. Thank you.
