Great room; clean, good air con, beautiful balcony. Seen some reviews about ants / bug problems. No problems at all in our room. Location; 10min walk to the beach. Then another 10mins walk along the beach to the center of the town. Area is quiet, some building works going on during the day but readonsble hours and didn't bother us at all.

Shower; good shower but just not powerful enough to wash my long hair. Nothing major!

Carlos is a great guy. The view is decent but......see the cons.

First off, the parking area is a dirt construction site. piles of sand and building blocks. Upon approaching the stairs to the kitchen you soon realize that everything is built into a very high hillside. The room we rented was at the top of 10 staircases totaling 75 steps. Some stone, some cement. Some had handrails, some did not. We had gotten there at sunset and Carlos helped carry our stuff up the 10 flights of stairs to the room. To our amazement there was no place to set a suitcase or even really your clothes. The a/c went on and off all night long and drove us nuts. In the morning we discussed the possibility of us (in our 70's) being able to navigate these steps day after day for the 3 weeks we had booked. What happened after that cinched the decision. While I was washing, with soap on my face the water ceased to flow. Lucky we had a bottle of water from the airport that I used to finish washing. My eyes burned for most the morning after that. worst yet the wife had used the toilet and it wouldn't flush. Could have been much worst had the wife been soaped up in the shower with shampoo and all-not a happy scenario. We decided this place could not work out for us. The booking stated the reservation was not changeable-but not nonrefundable. We arrived on the planned date but the property was unsuitable for older folks. there was NO mention of all the flights of stairs needed to reach the different rooms; all what was shown is a few staircases. To sum it up we had to find accommodations elsewhere. We have disputed the charges on our card but still await a refund to reflect the unused portion of our stay. The $65/night charge is way over priced as we secured alternate accommodations for $45/night with a better view and private bath and kitchen. Too bad the management couldn't see their way to a full refund of the unused nights but that is what they have chosen to do.

Carlos and his family took very well care of us and were always available when we needed help. We also like the location of our room, with a deck facing west, allowing us leisure lounging in the shade in the mornings and spectacular sunsets in the evenings. Although we only used it twice in our month long stay, there's a kitchen on the bottom floor for the guests' use.

The room was very small, no room for a dresser or closet. To get to our room there were a lot of very steep stairs that for a younger person should not be an issue, but I'm 67 and my wife is 57 years old, and especially for me it was quite hard. Also in spite of the instructions emailed to us as to how to get to the property it was very hard to find the place when we arrived, but luckily we found it with the help of local neighbors of the property who run a Taqueria at the bottom of the hill. Make sure you stock up with bugs repellent as ants, mosquitos and flies are everywhere.

Carlos, who looked after the place, was the best asset. He was very kind, friendly and helpful. The kitchen facilities were good.

The room did not meet the standards of the price we paid. Some of the original information provided was misleading.

Nice view and rooms

Under construction, which was not disclosed to us. Construction material everywhere. No railings on steep terrain, unsafe to navigate especially for Ellen who has MS and is not stable.

Carlos Is a great host, he cares about the guests and is available to help.

The air conditioning unit was not working properly, in fact it made it hotter. Thank God Carlos gave us a good fan to use or we could not have slept at all. The hot water worked occasionally and with very little pressure.
