Beautiful old building situated in a lovely village, ideal as a stopover when walking the vanguard way or as a base to explore the Seven Sisters country park as we did.

Inn style location, pub good for a beer, bed okay.

Breakfast was the bare minimum a man can handle. Hot shower was hardly adjustable. Nearby parking facilities should be better indicated. In the bar drinks could not be charged on room-number but every single drink had to be paid for immediately. Emergency exit in bedroom through stairway ending on the street felt as if sleeping in hallway. Relatively expensive venue.

Lovely 2 night stay at The Smugglers Inn in the heart of beautiful Alfriston. The staff were so friendly, the room was charming, comfortable and had everything needed. We also ate one night at the pub and it was so festive, with lovely food too. We would definitely stay again if we're in the area!

The breakfast is a bit basic for the price, however there is also a little cafe directly opposite which we had some food in so it's not really an issue.

Warm and welcoming. Very accommodating when I had missed the dinner cut off time. Room was well equipped. Seemed like a popular spot with locals

Nothing at all!! The breakfast is continental breakfast. Absolutely fine and copious but just in case you prefer a cooked breakfast there is a cafe right beside it. The stairs are steep if you have mobility issues.
