"A very pleasant place to stay."

9.0

Location. Walking round the village. Surprisingly quiet considering that we were staying at a pub on a Friday night. Clean & comfortable. Breakfast basket with long life items.

"Just what i needed after a long drive"

8.0

I arrived late, just before the neighbouring pub stopped serving. The staff at the 5 bells said if I wanted to order from next door & bring the food back they'd provide everything i needed. Really helpful & friendly

"Pleasant stay, comfortable bed."

8.0

Perfect location for hosting family & a sensible price.

The room was small, there was no hairdryer and no hand soap - minor details but I would I have used both.

"Really friendly pub in a lovely area of the countryside"

8.0

The 5 bells is a very welcoming, family friendly pub with a great outdoors area on the town green. The room was perfect for what we needed and the breakfast pack provided was simple but a nice touch. The pub doesn’t do food but the Thai food truck outside was amazing.

It was quite noisy as the rooms are next to the pub so you can hear the revellers up till closing time. There was also the church over the road with bells which chimed every 15 minutes. But I’d happily take that over a soulless chain hotel.

"Visiting family for a short stay worked out perfectly for us."

8.0

Lovely location. A clean simple accommodation. Everything you needed without lots of frills. Great pub but no food served and friendly staff. Breakfast baskets supplied. Kettle with tea, coffee supplied.

We were satisfied with mostly everything. The church bells may be a problem to light sleepers but not a problem for us.

"Nice venue and facilities but would not return for a stay due to the church bells. Sorry!"

5.0

The location was lovely and the room was basic but clean and had all that is needed for a one night stay. The pub is beautiful, I would return for a drink if in the area again.

The breakfast bars provided in the room, although a nice touch were out of date by a month and the bottle of orange juice looked grey so didn't use. The wooden beams need a good dust, several cobwebs are visible in the bedroom and the ensuite. The pub does not serve food. Although situated next to a beautiful church which initially I thought was wonderful, the bells strike on the hour every hour throughout the night/day meaning I couldn't sleep all night. Earplugs are provided but this doesn't prevent the sound of the bells at all.

"Pretty village, easy to reach property with warm welcome."

7.0

Easy access, comfortable.

Noise of church bells every 15 minutes including through the night. breakfast basket was very kind but no gluten free / allergy option - we were not sure whether we should have requested this.
