Staff were amazing. Always curtious and attentive. Breakfast was really good, you could have what you liked, mix and match ,etc. Had dinner there every night, didn't disappoint. Thanks for an excellent stay.

We had an absolutely lovely stay! Lynne was so hospitable and prepared fantastic breakfasts each morning which we opted to add on each day. Fantastic location in between so many great Peak District hikes and towns. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Late breakfast and inflexibility. The managers answer to our question about this was “it is what it is”. Place is tired. Check in is late and inflexible. It seemed they were doing everything for their convenience and had no appreciation of the fact they were working in the hospitality business. Very unimpressed.

Lynne and her team were so professional and welcoming. Food was delicious x.

Food was great, staff were busy but polite and attentive. Room well equipped.

Only stayed for one night. Something to consider, there's a church with a chiming clock opposite. We slept through fine though.

The room was really comfortable and spotless! The staff at check in, behind the bar, evening restaurant staff and the breakfast staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant.

Great location and spotless throughout. Our room was very compact, but the lovely balcony with scenic views made up for it. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Plenty of choice. Cooked to order if you wanted a full English. We mostly settled for tea and toast. Done to perfection.
