Very close to nec . Breakfast was great

Mattress really need replacement or topper . Towels very old and didn’t smell clean , very noisy above pub

The room was comfortable, I was there 1 night. Breakfast was excellent

The location was great for the NEC. The lunch menu was good value for money. The younger members of staff were very accommodating. Lady serving breakfast was very sweet and we enjoyed the unlimited juice. It was very clean. Parking was easy and in abundance.

Unfortunately, the bed springs could be felt in the bed and therefore we didn’t sleep that well. The fan in the room was very noisy but thankfully could be turned off when the light was turned off. The TV was exceptionally small and ill-positioned. The carpet was stained in heavy traffic areas (door ways). The breakfast was included but it was greasy. Overall, it was clean and it was “well-loved” but it needs updating. We booked this as we were heading to the NEC, but we wouldn’t stay here again for the price.

The beds where so uncomfortable tv was the size of my phone so hardly worth watching in bed very dated

It was unclean throughout the property, dusty lamps, carpets ancient with stains etc. Shower door broken. Holes in bedding and bath mat. Fire door useless, which could’ve been a problem as a false fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. Most of the staff unfriendly apart from the guy who checked us in and one of the ladies at breakfast. Breakfast bare minimum.

The breakfast was good although they did not have oat milk or decaf coffee or tea. I arrived on time for a Sunday lunch which was huge and palatable. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful in particular the managers.

The room was at the top of the hotel, several flights of stairs and not disable friendly as there's no lift. It was rather noisy early evening with birds on the roof. The shower tray didn't drain and unfortunately there was debris backing up in the tray. There was a low slanted ceiling not sign posted so I constantly bumped my head when I got out of bed. A couple members of staff were not very welcoming or hospitable particularly on my arrival, perhaps some training needed. Clearer signs needed to navigate getting around the building.
