We had a very nice one night stay at the Ship Inn. Everything was very modern and the decor was to a high standard. The shower was exceptional. The communal area was fantastic. It felt more like we were staying in an apartment. It was lovely to be able to make your own toast in the morning. Very nice bread, fruit juices, cereal etc were all provided. Everything was ideal for our needs and the location was great for us attending a function nearby. We heard very good things about the food at The Ship Inn but did not try it on this occasion.

Nothing. Only small detail might have been checking in could have felt more welcoming.

"Very comfortable and convenient - lovely pub and accommodation"

Friendly professional staff. Comfy room and very festive. Large modern bathroom with double shower. Fluffy towels.

Single beds - should have zip lock beds to make into double, as that was the basis of our reservation. Toaster kept tripping electric fuse box. Was given wrong/unprepared room at first but issue was resolved very quickly indeed, so no problem.

Nice hotel only 20 minutes from Edinburgh City centre, room was a decent size & nice & clean, access via door at side of pub/restaurant & up 1 flight of stairs. Communal area with basic kitchen facilities supplied with bread, cereal, milk etc for guests convenience (nice added touch). We didn't have breakfast in restaurant so can't comment there but spent a wee while in the bar at night & made welcome by staff & locals. Street parking but that wasn't an issue as you can get parked close to the hotel. Would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Nice big room and bathroom. Very clean and good access to Edinburgh.

The Ship is located on the main road through Musselburgh and is on a busy set of traffic lights so the road noise can be quite bad.

I’ve stayed here before and liked it the only fault I had with this room was it didn’t have a hairdryer in it .

The radiator could have been turned up and there could have been a hairdryer in the room .
