Comfortable and modern room above a welcoming bar with excellent adjoining bistro. If you want a well-connected location away from the bustle of Edinburgh city centre, this one's for you.

There was some bar and street noise, but not enough to spoil the stay

"Like being home from home."

Excellent location. The accommodation is above a Pub and Restaurant. There is either 4 or 5 rooms and this was our 2nd stay. Both rooms we have had have been large, roomy with a large walk in shower. The rooms are comfortable and warm Outside the rooms is a communal area with fridge with various types of milk and butter in it, a kettle and toaster, bread, breakfast cereals etc.

The entrance door to the accommodation is very heavy and sometimes can be left unlocked as residents haven't closed it properly on either entrance or exiting the property. Some signage reminding residents to check the door is properly closed could be useful.

Everything was clean and there was hot water in the shower, The kitchen lounge area was nice to have breakfast , comfy beds a 😴 good night sleep

Clean, great location, good snack making facilities, spacious, comfortable

Close to main road so some traffic noise with window open. Understand that is a consequence of being on a main bus route which I wanted.

Good location Enjoyed walking on the beach & the pathway Near restaurants Appreciated the large common area for breakfast

It was a bit confusing where the entrance was to check in We didn't know there was no food served after 8:30pm. We did find a good Thai restaurant that was nearby

"Lovely experience"

The Ship inn was deceiving as it had 2 restaurant and a Sports bar which I was not expecting. The accommodation was very good and very comfortable. It had a kitchen area to make drinks. There was cereal, bread, preserves, milk, butter, fruit, teas and coffee. The staff were very nice and helpful thank you. Very close to local transport.

The only problem was it didn't have it own parking, which was a bit difficult at times. Apart from no parking everything was good
