Tunjung Hill Cottage

To get to the location I rented a scooter from the harbour and it took around 20 minutes to get there, another option is to get there by car. Located on a hillside, you will find amazing settings with a wonderful swimming pool and seaview on mount Agung, very clean spacious bungalow, nice bathroom and excellent water pressure. The breakfast was simple but good, a special thank you to Kadek 1, Kadek 2 and Lu who did everything they could to make my stay a memorable one. Sightseeing: I was here 1 day and chose to visit Kelingking beach wich is to say the least spectacular and worth the 40 minutes drive by scooter.

It was perfect.

Love the view from the cottage. Swimming pool size. Peaceful and relaxing place. Helpful stuff.

No complains

The view from the cottage, the infinity pool, being away from the busy road.

Only breakfast was available, the other meals meant travelling to the main waterfront 500m away. Dogs barking most of the night.

The view of Mt Agung and ocean from the infinity pool and rooms was excellent. The staff, Kadek and Mardi were also very helpful arranging a scooter for our start and providing tips about the places we planned to visit.

Dirt road leading into the property was a bit rough, and basic breakfast choices. The local Surprise Bakery and waterfront restaurants were excellent.

The complex is located slightly above the coastal road. You can enjoy a great view of Mount Agung from the pool or the bungalows. I really enjoyed the peace and quiet there. My bungalow was very clean, as was the whole complex including the pool. You can quickly reach many restaurants by scooter or driver Made and his team are very helpful and friendly.

There are just a few little things that wouldn't stop me from booking again: The breakfast is not very extensive. But what I ate tasted good. A few holders for towels or similar (in the bathroom and on the balcony)

I liked the room; it was spacious. The view of the mountain from my room in the morning was super nice.

There were lizards in my room, crawling on the ceiling, and I couldn’t sleep because one kept running around like crazy, making noise that kept me awake. I wrote a message to the staff to ask for another room or the removal of the lizard, but I didn’t get a reply. In the morning, I was told that it is normal because we are in Bali. I think the room should be cleaned of such things before a guest arrives.

It's easy to reach from Buyuk Harbour, but it's worth hiring a motorbike when you arrive (the accommodation is available for more or less fair prices). Because there is still no grave or gojek on Nusa Penida. Large rooms, not modern but nice. Great view of the sea and the main island of Bali. Refreshing pool within seconds. However the whole area still has a lot of room for improvement and is still under restoration by the looks of it. The staff is helpful and tries their best at any time - they prepare included breakfast which was also nothing special but tasty.

Even though the staff tried very hard, the service and communication was not always satisfactory. Rooms that were not made, despite requests to do so. Dirty or non-existent towels. General key to the complex, with a bunch of keys for each room, which was left on our veranda. Not that we dont trust - but this should not hapen guys. Having rats on the areal is just another point. As mentioned, this place is a bit remote, despite being close to the mainstreet and ocean. The streets up there are not very well. Decent location but be ready for adventure. I
