lack of proper breakfast. Very bright green light on the ceiling - perhaps the fire alarm system. Shower was temperamental.

What can I say not a lot. Fire escape external stairs up to bedrooms. Room not much bigger than a box room. 2 really cheap single beds pushed together with dreadful matresses. No more than 12 inches space to one side of bed and maybe 20 inches to other side before your foot is in the tiny ensuite, which to use the washbasin you would have to put your foot in the toilet. Ridiculously too small The worst beds I have ever slept in, maybe suitable for a child. Maybe .... Bedtime went to wash my make up off. No hot water. Not amused. Mugs were unwashed on arrival. Floor unclean. Screw jutting out of floor strip could have cut your feet. Metal rail attached to wall for hanging clothes has screws jutting down, again could cut your head. Window, really filthy, years of dirt. Get a window cleaner. On going in the fire energency door to access the rooms the smell of damp mould. This place really is not suitable for letting. Pay extra and book somewhere worth your money, as this is really not a pleasant experience

Friendly welcome from staff and locals . Comfortable bed with quality linen and towels. Very good breakfast bowl selection - fruit, cereals, croissants, porridge,orange juice etc, and plenty of tea/coffee/ milk/ biscuits. Warm and clean. Great stop for a night or two. .

Steep outside steps to accommodation probably not suitable for people with mobility issues. Room a bit small - no space for a chair/luggage.

Not far from three counties show ground abut 20 mins. The room was small but functional and very clean

The breakfast option was not to our liking in a basket in your room. The windows did not look like they had been cleaned in a long time. The pub did not serve dinner as there was no chef so you have to go down the road which was lovely. Ended up going Toby carvery for breakfast which was 4 mins away by car .Out side the pub in the beer garden had a few fowl mouthed customers, which is defiantly not our seen. Outside the pub they have photo's of a full English which confused us as it did not serve full breakfast. To sum it all, we should have booked Bed Breakfast with full English breakfast as it would have worked out cheaper. You have to climb outside stairs to your room at the back of the pub and enter through the emergency exist.

Situation

Bedroom lovely, bar area needs a refresh, did not serve evening meals, breakfast was in a basket in your room, windows desperate for a clean and my van was broken into

The barmaid was friendly.

I should imagine that the shareholders don't want to invest in the comfort of this pub. The mattress was so worn in room 1 that the springs were popping out of the side of the mattress. Each movement resulted in a poke in the back or side. It's obvious that they don't want return visitors. The place itself really could do with a lick of paint and new furniture in either bar. It's really like a wild west saloon with only the spittoon missing.
