The Spread Eagle

My brother had his wedding at the The Spread Eagle on 12th June 2026, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. Carol was amazing at coordinating everything and ensuring the day ran smoothly from start to finish. The venue itself is beautiful, surrounded by stunning scenery, and the view behind the top table was absolutely breathtaking. The food and drink was exceptional throughout — from canapés to the three-course wedding meal and breakfast the following morning. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Many of our guests have attended numerous weddings and commented that this was by far the best venue they had experienced. Every member of staff was wonderful: polite, friendly, hardworking, and always willing to help. Nothing was too much trouble. A special thank you to Carol, Harry, Laslo, Archie, Amy, and Hannah for looking after us so well on the day — you are all an absolute credit to the Spread Eagle. Our guests, many of whom had travelled from all over Spain, all commented on what a fantastic day they had celebrating the wedding here. I would highly recommend the Spread Eagle to anyone looking for a wedding venue, accommodation, or even just a lovely meal or drink. The large room Location

Car park which was across a busy road Food was expensive and not too good No heating in bathroom cold.

Lovely setting, extremely dog friendly, delicious food and brilliant staff

Bedroom was too hot even with windows open

Superb country pub, with great staff, a good menu, complimented by fabulous real ale and some nice wines. Really good value, room with a view of the river was a bonus. Will return soon

Coffee bags in the room, terrible taste, but trivial detail.

Everything about the spread Eagle was perfect. The setting. The location. And the staff were just amazing Especially Tracey who sorted out a dog friendly room when booking. Com cocked it up yet again. And Harry who served us breakfast was just amazing nothing was to much trouble and so informative. The room was, absolutely gorgeous you wanted for nothing and loads of extras but I love the fact they absolutely love dogs here. The special dog treat box was such a lovely welcome surprise for us to Absolutely perfect but il be booking directly through them next time. The fact that booking. Com hadn't booked us a dog friendly room as was booked and paid for only the fact I phoned up the day before n Tracey managed to sort us a dog friendly room out or we could have turned up on the Friday with no accommodation for us.. No faults with the spread Eagle or the lovely staff what's so ever
