"this place in unkept"

1.0

kitchen and scenery

cleanliness. cobwebs and spiders everywhere, the place hasn't been dusted in years. hairs and dirt in bathtub. just gross good thing we brought our own pot and pans. If you want to spend money and pay for a night in filth then I would recommend.

"Great rustic western days type of experience"

6.0

Very rustic and charming. Great for this type of experience of being back in the "western days". No cell/internet service at all, you are completely off the grid! If you dont bring it, they wont have it. Bring exactly what you need.

This is a great little place in the middle of nowhere! But that is why you are going there. It is very rustic and charming. However, it needs some serious cleaning. Spider webs all over, very dusty, dead bugs. etc. The rustic experience is great, but can still be clean. That is the only thing I would warn people about.

"Beautiful location, restored historic building, lacking advertised amenities."

7.0

The location was awesome. Up a gulch with green river bottom. Hotel was full of books and antiques.

No wifi or breakfast even though they were listed on booking.com. This could be a big deal since there's no cell coverage and closest food is 20 miles.

One of the most interesting places I've stayed - chock-full of books of every kind, interesting historical artifacts, antique furniture. David was an exceptional and friendly host. My 19 year old, city-raised daughter was thrilled to with the very rural feel of the property, complete with goats, hogs, dogs, cats, lizards, mountains, and history of Unionville.

"Quaint and peaceful retreat"

9.0

The cottage was a lovely original cabin that has been lovingly restored. Filled with books and antiques, surrounded by hills and farms, it is like stepping back in time.

Be sure to bring food with you as none is provided or locally available. There is a well equipped kitchen that you can use.
