Location and overall property is great

Internet connectivity is a problem else rest all is good

Room was large and well-appointed. Breakfast was made-to-order and very good. The rural setting is peaceful and quiet. The library is fantastic!

As others have noted, MQI is a long way from services, including restaurants and grocery stores.

It was a quaint property where there is a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Take a stroll or talk with guests, let the environment slow you down. Can’t wait to see what these new owners add to this already beautiful inn. Breakfast was amazing.

It is in the quiet zone, so no cell service or cable service in rooms. However, owners did offer many DVD choices for entertainment.

The property was gorgeous. A working farm with mini horses, mini donkeys, and a couple of regular size horses. The farmhouse itself was unbelievable stunning. I wish I had taken more pictures. I managed to get dinner, but I don't know if that's normal for the property or if it was due to the Memorial Day holiday. I had a delicious salad, thick, juicy burger, and fresh corn on the cob. The mashed potatoes were a bit too salty. I was delighted that they had food because the property is so far away from things and it was a very long drive from my residence. I wish I had had more time to explore the property.

I'm going to be kind with this part as I believe the property is in some kind of transition. There was only one person doing everything, including checking people in and out and serving food, giving a small tour of the house, and showing guests to their rooms. She was very nice and accommodating but obviously overwhelmed. I overheard her telling another guest that she and her partner? Husband? were managing the property for the owners. There was no sign to show where the office was so I had to wander around to find it. When this property gets up and running with the new management I believe it will be wonderful.

The new owners have just taken over management of the inn starting in April 2026 and are still getting things up and running. They provided a hot breakfast, made to order and recently started serving dinner as well. We were happy to stay there and relax and eat in for both our meals. The location is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We loved the quirkiness of the themed rooms that were clean and well maintained. The library is amazing and if you are willing to do the 4 flights of stairs, you can star gaze from the observatory. The sauna was nice, but the hot tub and small exercise room need some work. We found plenty of other things to do there. It is a great place to just get away. There is no cell coverage because it is in the quiet zone but there is wifi available in the common areas so you can still get access to your phone if it is wifi capable. We are looking forward to a return visit!

The game room needs some work, didn't see the pacman and other games that were on the website. The website could use some updating as well. My only complaint is that booking.com didn't book the rooms that I selected so we were only able to get one of them. It worked out fine but that needs to be fixed.

Everything was exceptional.

The room is beautiful, the overall environment is very comfortable, the staff were very kind, and the breakfast was great. The shower has hot water and everything was very clean! There is a library with lots of very interesting books, and there are DVDs, but our TV wasn’t working. You can also stargaze, and the donkeys are so cute. I fell in love with every detail of the hotel.

The internet is limited in the library and in the dining room, but the place was remote, so that’s understandable. However, after midnight the Wi-Fi wasn’t working. We also got a scare when we were told the payment wasn’t showing in the system, even though we had already paid through the app. (Bring a laptop with you.)
