Room very dated . Noisy. Tricky stairs. Limited parking. Easy journey to eurotunnel

Great location and only a 5 minute taxi road into the high street. Some great pubs and restaurants in the high street.

The landlord and partner have recently taken over the property. We where hoping for to buy dinner at the pub and there's no chef currently... disappointing as when we booked yo stay the menu looked great and so did the pics of the food. Breakfast was continental - not great we gave it a miss. The bedroom and bathroom is tired and in much need of some TLC. Such a shame as we were really looking forward to stating here based on the pictures...

We wasn't told by staff that breakfast was a option so it was too late , bed was very uncomfortable and left me with bad back

We stayed at the Castle Inn from the 8th to 9th August 2025, booking two family rooms to accommodate mum, dad, and our three young children (all under 8). From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was absolutely lovely—warm, welcoming, and genuinely thoughtful. The rooms were comfortable and well-suited to our needs, making it easy to unwind after a long 7-hour journey to Folkestone. It’s clear the Castle Inn knows how to cater to families, but we also noticed how ideal it would be for couples looking for a cosy getaway. We’ll definitely be returning next year—it’s rare to find a place that feels this friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!
