Lovely location and charming character. Breakfast staff and evening staff were very helpful

Tepid check in experience with laissez faire staff. Room was quite dusty and heating couldn’t be tuned off without the staff’s intervention and a wrench

Super breakfast, excellent choice. Comfortable, spacious room. Location is right next to the town centre - ideal. The building itself is interesting, built in 1657.

Everything! The hotel is beautifully traditional but with modern facilities and superb food and the location is perfectly within the centre of the town. We had such a great time that my now fiancé proposed to me so this hotel will always be special to us!

"There was nothing to complain about and we were happy with our stay."

The location was excellent right in the centre with all amenities just a hop skip and a jump away. Our room was very comfortable and very clean. We had dinner in the evening and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay at the White Lion again and would recommend it to family and friends.

A far as we were concerned there was nothing to dislike.
