Beautiful location, friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was great.

The room was very hot and smelt of mould. The bed mattress was extremely soft. The evening meal was overpriced.

"Great country stay"

Small touches like real milk in the fridge in room & charger for phones & lots of teas & coffees to choose from .Thought of everything. Flannel for make up removal Cotton wool balls . Lots of lovely walks on doorstep.

Maybe the information in the room could have some more leaflets & details but that's being picky.

"Superlatives fail me. Fantastic place to stay."

This was a third visit and every time they live up to their super high standards. Beautiful well appointed room - mini fridge for fresh milk, teabag stand etc. very thoughtful. Excellent choice and quality of food offering. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Expensive but ‘more than worth it

Nothing. Our room was up some fairly steep stairs so could be tricky if you had mobility issues. However I think the property is 17th century so only to be expected and should not detract from this wonderful place to stay

Breakfast good. Location good. I cannot drive for 4 hours at a stretch any more. The Brownlow Arms was a good place to stop.
