Whitneys Inn at Black Mountain

Stayed 3 Nights In A Clean & Cozy 2 Bedroom 1 Bathroom Cottage With Ample Space For 4 People To Comfortably Stay. Cottage Had An Abundance Of Complimentary Coffee, Cups, Soaps, Shampoos, Towels, Etc. Small Fenced In Area Behind The Cottage With Chairs & A Round Firepit. Not Far From Conway / North Conway Which Offers Many Shopping & Dining Experiences. Beautiful Mountain Scenery. Friendly Locals & Tourists Alike. Clean Town With Lots Of Character. Was Able To Utilize Sister Property (About A Mile Away) Amenities Such As Indoor Pool / Hot Tub, & Gym, Etc. For No Additional Charge.

Other Than A Microwave & Coffee Maker, There Was No Option For Cooking Within The Cottage. Additionally, There Was No Sink Other Than The Bathroom Handwash Sink Which Is Located Just Outside The Bathroom. Most Of The Outlets In The Cottage Were 2 Prong Only, Though They Did Have Extension Cords / Power Strips Which Helped. There Is No Exhaust Fan In The Bathroom, Only A Small Window. Wifi Was Very Weak Inside The Cottage & At Times Would Drop Out Completely, But Was Fairly Strong At The Main Building. Complimentary Breakfast Offered In The Main Building's Lobby Was Only Blueberry Muffins / Nature Valley Granola Bars, Coffee, & Orange Juice. The Onsite Restaurant / Pub Is Only Open 5:00 - 10:00pm Wednesday - Saturday, So We Were Unable To Experience It.

Breakfast was grab and go. The muffin though pre-wrapped was good and the coffee excellent. A few more options would be nice and ceramic coffee cups/mugs even better! Now that we know that Black Mtn serves breakfast, we may opt for that next time we stay at Whitney’s. Great to be so close to Black Mtn and thoroughly enjoyed the Shovel Handle Pub!

We were above the kitchen, so we heard a lot of talking in the afternoon and we were concerned there was a party going on in the next room or below us. Once we knew the source, we felt that all would be well. There was still some noise when we go into bed around 9:00. We will request a different room next time we stay.

The food offerings were very limited.

Love the new hot tubs and sauna. Sat in the hot tub as it snowed which was wonderful. Staff were all very responsive and helpful.

Music was loud on mountain. You could hear all the neighbors through the walls. Customer service was poor.

We had a great time at the property. We stayed in the two bedroom cottage. We were skiing Black Mountain and it was so convenient. The staff went above and beyond of our request. Thank you.
