" This rustic inn and resort offers comfortable rooms with modern amenities including free Wi-Fi, mini refrigerators, coffee makers, and cable TV. Whitney's inn offers a heated outdoor pool and lounge area with yard games such as ping pong, horseshoes and cornhole. In the summer and fall the outdoor fishing pond is open for guests to enjoy kayaking, fishing and campfires. Breakfast is not offered at Whitney's inn. Dinner is served in the family friendly Shovel Handle Pub Wednesday - Friday from 5:00pm - 10:00pm. Dinner is not offered any other days. Local attractions include Black Mountain Ski area less than 1 mile away and Story Land amusement park less than 4 miles away.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. A deposit may be required at the property.

My husband and I stayed here a few years ago and remembered how much we liked it. We brought our grandkids here. We were pleasantly surprised that they were celebrating their 90th anniversary the day we showed up. We all enjoyed it. We stayed in the Cottage, and it was perfect. Staff was very friendly. Our tv wasn't working and we called, and they were there to fix it in 10 minutes. Definitely would recommend.

Great location, perfect for families. The restaurant was sooooo good. Can hike right from the resort, so much to explore. Very friendly staff.

"Beautiful hills all around"

The property was fantastic, peaceful except when the mowing occured when we were sitting out enjoying the peace but it has rained alot so i know you mow when you can. Had some ants in the room when we arrived but we worked around them. Lol. Fantastic stay. Will stay again!!!

No ants, but tis the season for the little critters
