Friendly, kind and helpful staff, simply amazing!

Fabulous lodge looking out over the ocean. The rooms are big and airy and we loved the communal space too. The food was a highlight- delicious with a good choice of dishes, and flexible for picky children. We also did a couple of tours with the Aquila guides who were very knowledgeable and friendly.

This location and accommodation met all our Costa Rica expectations. The food was top notch! Staff were oustanding.

Would have been nice to have some sort of cooling area with either a dipping pool or air-conditioned social gathering area.

Great experience...thanks to the hotel for accommodating us because we are vegan. We loved the Cano Island snorkeling excursion. All in all everything was great 💯 liked the experience.

Great location and ideal base for trips. Trips were well organised. Rooms were comfortable.

The extortionate boat trip fee. It cost us $500 for two adults and two children to get the boat in and out which was entirely disproportionate. In another place had same length boat ride and cost was included but could tell was not nearly as much. The boat driver was immensely skilled at getting through the tough river exit and should be rewarded but I still cannot see how it costs that much given other people on the boat as well. The economics make no sense. We almost cancelled as a result but were constrained by time to find an alternative. This is the main reason have marked it down. Only other small comment I have is food was too salty and sweet.
