"Nice friendly pub"

Large room. Modern bathroom. Friendly staff. Selection of pub classic food available. Free parking anywhere in the village. Beach a few minutes walk. Good location for exploring more of the Northumberland coast.

Presentation of breakfast. Morning 1: good nicely presented but no crockery put out. Morning 2: Food still in the fridge - we had to help ourselves from catering packs. Morning 3: catering packs put out but had to go in search of scissors to open them. I don't mind self-service but a little more finesse would improve the experience.

"Great location, nice pub atmosphere, shame about the noise."

Great location for our requirements

Very noisy room, particularly when the chefs were finishing (and other guests) and having a drink outside. Our second stay and we stayed in rm 4 last time, much quieter, strangely, despite being on the main road.

Found a little gem of a place on Booking.com for an overnight stay. Staff super friendly. Lovely pub. Room was clean and comfortable, with a good night's sleep. My partner and I endulged in some food. Food was amazing, good selection. This place is highly recommended. Well done.
