El Establo Mountain Hotel

The hotel is in a beautiful location, one of a kind. Worth the trip. You are surrounded by the nature, beautiful swimming pool. You can do activities directly in the hotel such the zip line. Whilst there are better zip lines around we enjoyed doing it with just the three of us instead of large groups like the others.

It is missing a ceiling light in the room and some kind of table + chair to work a bit. No kettle in the room but there is a very nice coffee machine. Food at the restaurant could be better. (Taco fish was poor at best)Outside the hotel there is an amazing place where to eat, thomas and Thiago. Half the price, double the flavour.

Η θέα είναι συγκλονιστική και σίγουρα το ξενοδοχείο κάποτε υπήρξε ένα στολίδι, τώρα είναι μονάχα η σκιά του παλιού εαυτού του, ΜΕΓΑΛΗ ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ, δεν πρόκειται για κάποιον πολυτελή προορισμό και σίγουρα δεν αξίζει τα λεφτά του. Κανονικά θα έπρεπε να χρεώνεται στο ένα τρίτο της τιμής η κάθε βραδιά. Τεράστια δωμάτια, κρύα, με ελάχιστα παλιά έπιπλα. Παροχές που δε ταιριάζουν σε ένα σύγχρονο ξενοδοχείο 4 ή 5 αστεριών που διατείνεται πως είναι το ξενοδοχείο σε διαφορετικά σημεία.

Όπως ανέφερα το εσωτερικό του δωμάτιου δεν πρέπει να έχει υποστεί καμία ανακαίνιση απο την δεκαετία του 90, δεν διαθέτει κλιματισμό ούτε θέρμανση, και τη μέρα που κάναμε check in το βράδυ η θερμοκρασία στο monte verde έφτασε τους 12 βαθμούς Celcius. Τα καλύμματα του κρεβατιού καθώς και τα μαξιλάρια μύριζαν υγρασία (μούχλα σχεδόν). Φυγαμε φυσικά και έχουμε ξεκινήσει ήδη διαδικασία με τη booking και τη Visa για να πάρουμε τα χρήματα μας πίσω. Φυσικά και προσπάθησα να εξηγήσω και στην ρεσεψιονιστ και σε κάποια υπευθυνη όλα αυτά τα θέματα τα οποία ένιωσα πως τους αφήνουν παγερά αδιάφορες. Παγερά - όσο παγερό θα ήταν και το βράδυ μου σε αυτό το δωμάτιο αν έμενα - το κορυφαίο είναι πως μου είπαν αν κρυώνω θα μου δώσουν δεύτερη κουβέρτα! Πλήρωσα 250ευρώ το βράδυ στο 2025 σε ξενοδοχείο που λέει πως είναι 5 αστερων για να ακούσω πως αν κρυώνω να ζητησω δευτερη κουβέρτα! Pura Vida θα πω!

Interesting place, hotel is spread out over the mountain. Rooms where immaculate, amazing views and very peaceful. Pool was lovely. Great gym

Didn't use the restaurant which was very expensive. The layout of this hotel is a bit marmite. You'll love it or find it a bit frustrating if you don't have a car. Your reliant on hotel shuttles. Rooms re spread out over some distance and steep inclines.

Belle vue de la chambre, chambre spacieuse

Services absolument pas dignes d'un hôtel 5 étoiles, Mauvais rapport qualité -prix Longue queue pour le petit déjeuner. Belle piscine, mais pas assez de serviettes disponibles, pas de peignoir à disposition, douches dans les vestiaires non fonctionnels et toilettes bouchés à côté de la piscine pendant tout le séjour.

Great setting, great customer service and Pablo was the guide of our holiday in Costa Rica!

Rooms could do with being updated and some towel heaters in the rooms to dry wet clothes. The hotel was incredibly expensive to eat - $20 for a pizza, which seems to be the norm in Costa Rica these days

Bland decor, poor shower.

Clean, modern, great gym, helpful and friendly staff. Pool is nice. The setting is beautiful. Lots of shops and cafes nearby.
