Rondador Cotopaxi

We were upgraded to the family room, which was very comfortable. Bad was comfortable and big, and the shower had plenty of hot water. The manager booked us a tour to the catopaxi with hotel pickup which was nice.

Such a charming place to stay! The location is really great, as it's very close to the highway for the buses and also offers a stunning view of Cotopaxi volcano! Fernando and his team are warm and friendly, made me feel right at home. The whole place is very homely and cosy, and they put up fresh flowers everywhere. I ended up having the family room, which I loved and didn't want to leave. It does get cold in the rooms but there is a heater and you get lots of layers and blankets in your bed for a comfortable sleep. The breakfast is also very generous and delicious. Highly recommend staying here on your visit to Cotopaxi!

Honestly not much to complain about regarding the accommodation itself, I think it's excellent. However, I think their Cotopaxi tour could be priced more reasonably as it's already close to the volcano so paying $50 from within the region is not good value for me. Tours from Quito city cost the same, which is justified so tours by Rondador should be $30-35 because there is less transport time. My guide was really nice but was not giving me much education or information during our time; it was quite basic. If this tour aspect was improved then I would have absolutely nothing to complain about.

Very charming family owned hotel in front of the cotopaxi volcano. The rooms are cosy, the food is delicious and the staff is super friendly! They also helped us with tours, our tour was great and fair price. Thank you :)

Nice place, excellent restaurant in-house, Fernando was a great host, very attentive, provided us with nice tours to Cotopaxi national park and laguna quilotoa, as well as transport to other destinations in Ecuador mainland. Very clean and well maintained hotel, highly recommended.

We felt immediately at home at Rondador Cotopaxi! The spaces were all very cozy, the staff was wonderful and the food was amazing!! Some of our best meals during a month in Ecuador! The horseback riding that they helped us organize was one of our best experiences of the trip too! If you asked our sons this was their favorite place we stayed, they absolutely loved all the animals and getting to feed the alpacas and pet the kittens and dogs! The views of Cotopaxi in the evening under the stars were outstanding -all in all we will look back on our stay as a very special experience!
