Shanklin Hotel

The room and shower were great, sadly didnt get time to use thr pool, really nice lounge and dining room

Mattress was very hard or thin, could feel a solid board every time i turned over, was stiff in the morning. Breakfast was cooked but not great, my wifes "ham and a selection of cheese" turned out to be wafer thin ham and shredded chedder and red leicester. I asked if it was possible to have a GF breakfast, i was told there was but it turned out to be the regular small breakfast but without the sausage or hashed browns.

Location was great. Staff were extremely helpful. Hotel was clean.

Nice facilities, clean and the staff were friendly.

Room was quite noisy we could hear other guests in the other rooms.

We were told that we can use pool anytime before pool closes by the gentle men in the reception but when we were about to go to use the pool the another guy receptionist told us that there was private lesson going on in the hotel pool .only time we would be able to use was after 7 pm or the next day he advised .Very disappointed .whole of the pool was given to only two people for private lesson and we were denied entry .slippers aren’t provided in the room if you want one .it needs to be bought from the receptionist which the lady she don’t knows the price of slippers and she said that she needs to check to her manager about the price and we were left there without any slipper for bathroom .
