The Bridge

There was no bin in the bathroom. The shower was in the bath and there work.

Our keys didn’t work so had to go to reception. No bin in the bathroom. Shower was in the bath but there was no mat to stop from falling. I fell! They were not doing a cooked breakfast on the first morning. And the basic breakfast was poor. There was only one member of staff at breakfast on some mornings so it was difficult to get hold of one I stay for 4 nights regularly at this area and I have never had such an awful hotel. The price is similar to other hotels. I have stayed before about about 2 years ago at The Bridge and it was OK.

The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and powerful, and the bedding and towels were clean. Staff were helpful in moving us to another room when we raised concerns

We were not informed at check-in about a live function with loud music directly under our room, which continued until late evening and severely disrupted our stay, especially with a young child. The breakfast was very basic and did not match the advertised ‘hearty breakfast’. The room also had maintenance and cleanliness issues including cobwebs, stained carpet, scratched furniture, and a broken extractor fan

The young bar/restaurant/reception staff were great, friendly and I was impressed with their hospitality skills. Onsite free parking. Fluffy pillows.

The matteress was very uncomfortable. Had to sleep in the middle of the bed for a slightly more comfortable area. Broken furniture, dressing table missing a drawer. Back of wardrobe loose. Mouldy grout in shower. Overhead bed lights not working.

Breakfast was very dry. The bacon sandwich was mushy!

Breakfast. Paid for a superior room. Thought we would get a nicer bedroom with a bath in the room but it was very small.

Shower was great. Lovely breakfast. Lovely friendly woman serving breakfast.

Room was so noisy. Right next to venue area where a wedding was going on. On top of this it wasn’t insulated at all against sound- could hear every footstep above us when people went to bed and got up. 8 months pregnant and really could have done with some sleep! Could even hear their alarm going off. Hairdryer didn’t work- fire smell coming from it- hazard. Whole building looked tired. Our room had different coloured paint patches on it. Terrible for £180 really feel like we were ripped off.
