The welcome. The food

The room was not clean. The actual rooms are nothing like as shown on the website. Went to close the blind and it fell off. Went to open the blind in the morning... it fell off again!

Location was good. The pub was ok.

It needed a very good clean throughout - including our room which wasn’t clean, the towels needed a better wash, the shower was useless - may as well stand under a watering can. It was quite expensive to be that rubbish: They weren’t doing food when we got there that evening, and said they don’t do breakfast either so rubbish for us having travelled. I don’t think the reviews on booking are right - there’s no way this should score so highly.

Beds were comfortable - only good feature

Provision of food - none - no dinner and no breakfast as inn website offered

Competitively priced and nice, quiet location. The staff member I interacted with was friendly and helpful.

The property is dated and clearly requires investment. Windows in the room, for example, were old and didn’t have working latches/fittings. Room I was in suffered from significant noise overspill from adjoining rooms and areas. The bar had no food offering despite menus and pics in the property description indicating it did.

The location was good for where we needed to be.

The accommodation area of the pub was musty, dated, tired and in need of a good clean. There are new owners so perhaps it will get better once they get round to taking on the accommodation aspect of the pub.
