The staff! Maria and the restaurant team were incredible. This was our first all inclusive holiday. Between us we have over a dozen allergies/intolerances so we were very nervous about food. Whilst most of the buffet food was not an option for us, the chef made a special effort to make a separate meal for one of us. We all managed to eat without incident, which is a huge credit to this hotel given how many guests they have. Christina and the spa staff were so friendly and the massages are highly recommended.

The bathrooms are tired looking but the rooms are ok. Not having wifi in the rooms was an inconvenience but not the end of the world.

Our experience was great. The place is in a serene place surrounded by beautiful nature. The beach is only for the hotel guests; therefore, it is clean and safe. Ideal place for families or couples. Food was amazing, to everyone's liking. Overall, I would recommend that place.

The only thing I can say some rooms/ aspects of the rooms might use some renovation.

A Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! We had an amazing experience at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly thoughtful, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options that catered to every taste. It's a very family-friendly place, and we felt completely at ease with our child throughout the stay. The garden is absolutely beautiful – a peaceful and well-maintained space that made our time there even more relaxing. We truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back!

Garden, beach and pool area was clean and well maintained. I've had better and bigger choice of food in other hotels in Greece and on Crete, but everything I've tried in Meli Palace was delicious. Restaurant, pool bar and lobby bar staff was nice and attentive.

Room was a disaster ! We booked Double/twin garden view, AC worked ok, but was sooo loud, I could not sleep at night if it was turned on. Mini bar was just old, empty fridge also so loud, I used to unplug it at night to get some sleep. Bed!!! The most uncomfortable, hard mattress I've slept on, mind you, I prefer hard mattress, but this was like a stone, causing my back pain. The power went off 1 or 2 times during my stay and our room was probably just on top of generator and all the noise and heat from it was entering in our room from window, even if it was closed. I thought it was weird that you have to pay deposit for safety deposit box key but ok. Wardrobe doors and drawers were falling down when opened ) I did NOT ask if we could change our room, because I asked to give as an extra key (we were 2 in room and they gave us only 1 key) for 3 days in a row and they even could not manage that, said they lost only extra key they had. I thought there was no point to ask something again )). Honestly, this hotel is in desperate need of renovation, at least on the inside.

Not much really. Our first ever all-inclusive and would not drag us back a second time. Some of the people looking after us were fantastic but unfortunately it felt like too many were looking forward to the end of the season and were difficult to engage with in the dining room, e.g. for drinks.

We got a lecture from the front of house staff about relaxing and not using the internet. However, the hotel is very happy for everyone to kill themselves, and others, as they allow smoking in all outside spaces. Bit of a conundrum there.

The only good thing about this place are the nice staff and fresh food everyday.

When we arrived, even if we asked months before for a cot, there was no cot in our room. When we left the room, someone randomly entered our room and put a cot. I know it’s a hotel, but there’s no need to enter the room without asking our permission. We also asked for a double bed but they didn’t give us a room with a double bed and only brought a mattress topper, which made it even worse. Additionally, cocktails and drinks were awful. They don’t have a measurer for alcohol; they simply pour it in a glass, resulting in cocktails that are either too weak or very strong. The beer and wine are very cheap and disgusting. Very nice staff, everyone helpful but except for Rosemary at reception. We asked for late checkout and they proposed we pay £120 for 3 hours. Our flight was originally at 11 PM but was delayed until 1 AM, which meant we waited for 12 hours after checkout with a baby! They offered us a gift bag and some water which was nice and unexpected but unfortunately this did not help. Overall, our holidays in Crete were so-so, as the whole island is very poor and dirty. Overall, I do not recommend this place.

Thanks to the caring team of Grecotel for sunny Greek hospitality! Thanks to their attentive service, tho it was a dream vacation. The rooms are cleaned daily, the area is green, the staff is friendly and always ready to help (after check-out they allowed us to stay in the hotel, including eating in the restaurant and even taking a shower). Such heedful. During the whole week of vacation we received only positive emotions, so we highly recommend choosing this hotel for your vacation! And we want to come back ourselves.

Not a minus, but a wish: it would be great to see the composition of each dish in the restaurant (there is not enough information about allergens in each other), otherwise 10/10.
