Hotel Casa by the lake

A good small hotel in a great location very near the Palace. Lovely roof terrace with views across the lake and back to the Palace. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the manager arranged a great value driver for our onward journey to Jodhpur with stops at the Kumbhalgarh fort and Jain temples. Some of the furnishings and bathroom were a bit old but pretty standard for this level of hotel in India.

Good location for the palace and lake. Nice rooftop views. Friendly and helpful manager. Easy enough to find a place to rent a good Royal Enfield bike for day trip adventures.

Cleaning leaves a bit to be desired, i.e. bed sheets, walls, toilet. The bed mattress in the room we had needs to be changed.

The hotel is very central, has a nice terrace with a restaurant and nice staff. The manager Santosh-soni was particularly helpful and gave me a call to see if I needed any help to reach the hotel for the check-in and also helped me arrange a ride to the train station at check-out.

The bathroom I had was quite little, with a very small sink, very little space in front of it and a poor drainage system, that would flood the floor if water was poured too quickly into it.
