Very kind and lovely family that does everything to make your stay perfect. Beautiful garden. Great food and nice view on the river from their restaurant terrace. They organised private transport from the airport and guided jungle hike for very reasonable price.

We really enjoyed staying here and actually didn’t want to leave. Andri and his family are really friendly! He arranged a very good jungle trekking for us, a tour to the bat cave etc. The rooms in the garden are beautiful.! Sometimes there are sitting monkeys on your terras. the food is also great. If you go tot Bukit Lawang, don’t hesitate and go to Sahnan guesthouse!

Nice staff, good location, very clean room with enough space. The price is very low and the porch is great!

There are quite a few things lacking (i.e. no hot water), but they are to be expected for this low price.

We had a lovely stay here, the family was super friendly and really helped us with everything: getting transportation, earlier breakfast, extra GB for our SIM card, laundry and more! The food was really good and there’s a semi wild orang utan with a baby that climbs in the trees next to the huts sometimes! I would highly recommend staying here.

Family management very friendly and caring. Breakfast choice good and served on time . Location good not noisy but only a short walk from main town. Not accessible by car but ample parking available in town.. Restaurants close by. Easy access to management team who called my handphone to confirm arrival details . Good English spoken by hotel staff

Instructions regarding parking of car and walk to to guesthouse 4-500m and across river would be a good addition to guest information.

The room was clean. The bathroom was also big and neatly maintained. The guest house is just by the river and the dine out area has a great view. There is also a sit out area outside the room facing the garden, but expect monkey visits. Andri and his family helped us have a comfortable stay and would definitely recommend.

Beautiful place in cosy Bukit Lawang! Andri, the owner, was very kind and helped us with everything we needed (recommendations, organization of jungle trekking, transport to Toba lake). We definitely recommend booking the jungle trekking (2 days, one night) via Andri - his friend is a guide and took us on a wonderful trekking, very ecofriendly and good with animals! Big plus: sometimes Orangutans visit the garden of the hotel and there are loads of other monkeys! :)
