The charming Vala house and lovely area is really a treat! The individual care of the hosts, the quietness and the beautiful nature, backwaters, fishfarms make the stay unique!

Vala House is located at the very end of Cherai Beach, a quiet and serene location, perfect to unwind. We stayed there for 7 nights and felt very welcome throughout our stay. The room was tidy and clean, with a beautiful view on the backwater pond and the sunrise. The staff were exceptionally caring and forthcoming: Lalu took care of our laundry and even got our torn clothes fixed at the tailor, Vishnu organised a trip to Allepey for us. And above all the breakfast was delicious with classic home cooked Kerala meals and fresh fruit and eggs. Cherai beach is a stroll away and a small beach can be reached within minutes. Can highly recommend a stay at Vala House if you’re looking for a quiet and beautiful getaway in a non touristic part of Cherai.

I dare say we liked it all very much.

Amazing service by Lalu. View from the property is great and very quiet atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.

Bathroom door handle came off. Otherwise it was all good.

Breakfast was delicous. Stuff was great and wery helpful. I rented a scooter from them and it was really great to drive around with it and discober nearby beaches.

A quaint but very spacious and classy hotel. With great views. The staff was very courteous and were very helpful. Must mention Vishnu who was very attentive and helpful to us and as we could see, to others as well.. Highly recommend this hotel to the ones looking for peaceful getaway. Breakfast was simple but tasty!

It would be better if options for à la carte dining was made available for lunch and dinner.

The location for sure and also how they’ve taken efforts to be as sustainable as possible. Great for a quiet weekend away. Food can be ordered from restaurants near by. Vishnu and Lalu were extremely kind and always hosting everyone with a smile on their faces.
