Kithal Ella Station Resort

Those guys are so great!! Everybody here in Sri Lanka is nice, but they went beyond. Extra caring and helpful, they even helped a friend of mine from abroad to make me a surprise present!! Amazing: they put so much effort to do it, lovely! Breakfast and dinner are local and plentiful, and really good! You have to taste the banana rotti! The place is well located nearby the station before/after Ella and you would definitely enjoy the way on the railway tracks from Kithal to Ella, there's such a view! For sure better than the one from Ella to the famous 9 arches bridge! Both the room and the bathroom are huge and clean. It's not beautiful but it is super functional. Modern and spacious shower, hot water. Nice big window-wall.

They could try to make the place a little bit more cozier, it's super impersonal.

The room was really lovely, the views are fantastic, the staff was attentive.

The proximity to the town centre should not be underestimated.

We had repeating power outs

I loved the location of the property which was 50m away from the train station. Moreover, everything was flexible and easygoing regarding renting scooters from the hotel, and going to the Ravana Waterfall and hiking Ella Rock! The property was very clean and the staff were very welcoming.

Food quality needs improvement but overall satisfied!

Staff was really helpful, Shehan was always there to help us. Rooms were spacious. Great views from room, in nature.

Location is 20 mins drive from hotel so we had to take tuk tuk every day on a bumpy road. Rooms not clean, dust, dirty toilet on check in, spider web on the windows. Many insects in the room, reason is that toilet window was permanently open and we couldn't close it. We ended up sleeping with ants and mosquitos. No fridge and hairdryer.

Quiet spot about 15 minutes by Tuk Tuk from usy Ella. Matheesha who works there was very friendly and helped us organise taxis etc and even gave us a packed breakfast when we had to leave on our last day!

The property wasn't ready for any letting still under construction, Booking.com you need to check before you advertise any hotels in the future. We couldn't stay and we had to stay somewhere else. This hotel is middle of nowhere and no transport can get to it. Do not book this hotel.
